Higher Education Social Learning Space

January 21, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

EWU Faculty Commons, the Office for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the Office of Community Engagement present:

Faculty Commons, the Office for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the Office of Community Engagement invite you to join us every third Friday from 3:30- 4:30 pm at the Faculty Commons building for a Decolonizing Higher Education Social Learning Space.”

This time is intended to be a mix of learning, dialog, and exploring.  A variety of topics will be explored including why the use of decolonizing can be problematic in this work.  To get the most out of this time please consider bringing intellectual humility both in what you are willing to learn and who you are willing to learn from.

Additionally, bring as much courage as you have as this work will likely involve exploration (and mistakes) in your own practice and thinking.  This is intended to push all of us to the edge of our own knowing in an effort to create a more just class/institution/society.

To join us virtually, please access our Zoom link at:

https://zoom.us/join and input the Faculty Common’s Meeting ID#: 946-833-6002
