DESCRIPTION:Request for Qualifications – Engineering/Architectural Design and Construction Phase Services \nVisit Questcdn.com. Enter Project Number #6504231 into the Project Number search field. \n\nBy downloading the free project advertisement\, you will be added to the plan holders list which ensures automatic project updates\, notifications and award results.\n\n  \nProject: \nThis project will replace aged existing boiler(s) and increase EWU’s campus steam capacity to meet future heating needs in support of the current capital master plan\, provide sufficient redundancy during scheduled maintenance operations\, and to increase operating efficiencies.  The existing campus heating system is comprised of five boilers that initially provided a total capacity of one hundred thirty four thousand (134\,000pph) pounds per hour.  One boiler has been removed from the train\, thus reducing capacity to 116\,000pph.  Historical records indicate a peak heating load of about seventy five thousand (75\,000pph) has been experienced at the plant.  Based on the anticipated master plan growth\, the increased heat load is expected to be approximately 34%\, or around 100\,000pph.  The addition of approximately 40\,000pph heating capacity is needed to serve the campus into the future. \n  \nScope of Service: \nThe University is seeking proposals from qualified Mechanical Engineering firms.  Applicants should only include information in their proposals pertaining to their own firm’s Design and Construction Administration experience and qualifications.  Do not add information for any sub-consultants that may be considered for this project.  Sub-consultants will be chosen at the discretion of the selected consultant with the owners approval. \n  \nSubmittal Requirements: \nSubmittals must be received at the Construction and Planning Services Office\, 1115 Cedar St\, Rozell Plant\, Eastern Washington University\, Cheney\, WA 99004-2464\, by 3:00 p.m.\, Friday\, September 20\, 2019. \nConsultant selection will be based on EWU’s established procedures. To be considered for selection\, prospective consultants are to provide: \n\nProvide five (5) copies and one (1) electronic .pdf on CD or thumb drive containing;\n\nCover letter; sub-sections addressing the four criteria for selection which are\n\n(a) Qualifications of Key Personnel\,\n(b) Relevant Experience\,\n(c) Performance on Previous Projects\,\n(d) Firm’s Ability to Perform Requested Services;\nCompleted Federal Standard Form 330.\n\n\n\n\nPlease be concise and do not include information that does not pertain/relate to this project\n\n  \nSelection Process: \nVoluntary MWBE goals of 10% minority\, 6% women\, and 5% WA small business and 5% veteran-owned business have been established for this project.
