o Eagle’s Nest Pitch Contest: Students who compete in the annual Eagle’s Nest Pitch competition receive valuable mentoring and advice from experts in our region.
o EWU CEO (a member of C-E-O Global): This is the first chapter of this student club in the state of Washington, and we believe it to be the only active chapter in the Northwest. Our founding President and Vice President attended the Global C-E-O Conference (October 2018) before launching our chapter.
o The Technology Commercialization Academy (TCA) and student fellowship program:
Launched in summer 2018.
12 EWU students work with original inventions created by Washington State University Faculty, to develop commercialization plans for their own companies.
The program is co-curricular, open to all applicants, and emphasizes hands-on learning experiences.
Students work on the project intensively over the first eight weeks of summer.
Students who successfully complete the summer academy become EWU Technology Commercialization Fellows, and receive a $1500 fellowship award.
o Co-curricular certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation (starting fall, 2019):
This program will be available to all students, from brand new freshmen, transfer, and running start students, to graduating seniors.
Students will register through the EWU Center for Entrepreneurship. Once registered, they will earn points by participating in entrepreneurial activities such as the EWU CEO Club, the Eagle’s Nest Pitch Competition, the Technology Commercialization Academy, and the EWU Celebration of Entrepreneurship.
