Financial Aid Information
The financial aid process is school year specific, and runs on a fall through summer “school year” calendar. Since the Transition to Teaching Program starts in the summer, it begins in one school year and moves to a new school year the next term (fall). If you are seeking financial aid assistance, you will need two different financial aid applications (FAFSA) on file to receive assistance in both school years.
For Summer Quarter 2020 financial aid, you will need to have the 2019-2020 FAFSA on file. The 2019-2020 FAFSA is only available until June 30, 2020. You must apply before this deadline to receive Summer Quarter 2020 financial aid.
For Fall Quarter 2020 through Spring/Summer Quarter 2021, you will need to have the 2020-2021 FAFSA on file. The 2020-2021 FAFSA is currently available (through June 30, 2021). And, to receive the best possible financial aid package, be sure to apply by the Financial Aid Priority Deadline, February 1, 2020. You can still apply for financial aid after this date, but you may miss out on some limited grant funds.
For questions about financial aid, contact the EWU Financial Aid & Scholarship Office at 509.359.2314 or visit ewu.edu/financialaid.
Please note that alternatives to financial aid are available.
