The Pride Center offers Ally Training, which is an informative, interactive, fun, and brave space for faculty, staff, and students to become certified allies to EWU’s LGBTQ+ communities. Welcoming Project allies help create a more accepting, welcoming, and inclusive environment on EWU’s campuses. “Graduates” of the Welcoming Project receive an ally placard (or, for students, a button) that indicates they are an affirming person with whom LGBTQ+ folks can connect. Our hope is to have a Welcoming Project ally visible in every department and office on campus.
The Office for Diversity and Inclusion offers a variety of diversity workshops and resources to help faculty, staff, and students develop personally and professionally in a multicultural world.
We have a variety of Diversity Workshops, scheduled monthly campus-wide and also by request. We also provide customized workshops to address your particular needs and/or academic disciplines.
Please select the button above, Diversity Workshops, to see our current offerings.
If you would like to schedule a workshop or speak to us about a customized option for your classroom, department, or organization, please contact Kim Davis, Senior Director for Diversity and Inclusion, at kdavis2@ewu.edu or (509) 359-6874.
