Diversity Essentials
The Office for Diversity and Inclusion offers a monthly campus-wide workshop series called Diversity Essentials. The workshops highlight the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion on campus and focus on a variety of topics to advance the goals of Eastern Washington University. The workshops allow employees and students to play a key role in identifying structural issues on campus that hinder equity, and then help to develop strategies to create an inclusive environment that promotes equity through small group exercises. Examples of workshops facilitated on campus are Workplace Diversity, Microaggressions: Intent versus Impact, Welcoming Project: LGBTQ+ Ally Training, and Implicit Bias.

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to announce the launch of a new program at Eastern Washington University, Women in the Lead.
In this program faculty, staff, and students will:
- Develop the values and competencies of an effective leader
- Gain tools to overcome traditional gender stereotypes and roadblocks to leadership roles in higher education.

This program is open to anyone who wants to apply!
