Before applying, review the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.ewu.edu\/undergraduate-policies\/#academicprobationdismissalandreinstatementtext\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/catalog.ewu.edu\/undergraduate-policies\/#academicprobationdismissalandreinstatementtext\">Satisfactory Progress Policy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>First-time dismissal:<\/strong> Eligible after sitting out <strong>one academic<\/strong> <strong>term<\/strong> (Fall, Winter, or Spring).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second-time dismissal:<\/strong> Eligible after <strong>one full calendar year<\/strong> (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ewu-red-color\">The purpose of an academic reinstatement petition is to give you the opportunity to reflect on your academic challenges, share your story, and demonstrate what you\u2019ve learned from your experiences. This is your chance to provide meaningful, thoughtful responses and present a clear, realistic plan for how you will support your future academic success.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your petition must demonstrate <strong>academic readiness<\/strong> by explaining:<br>\u2714 Steps taken to improve academic success<br>\u2714 Positive academic progress (e.g., coursework at another institution)<br>\u2714 Your plan to achieve future academic goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For help, contact your <strong>academic advisor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial Aid Reinstatement<\/strong><br>Academic reinstatement <strong>does not guarantee<\/strong> financial aid reinstatement.
