Certificate in Career & Technical Education

About

The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certificate program will prepare you to teach career and technical education courses in Washington State high schools.

The certificate enables technical experts to enter the field of teaching. CTE teachers can come from a variety of fields which entail specialized skills, applied science, technology, and career preparation. CTE offers three paths to certification:

Plan 1: a traditional program for candidates who are seeking to enter the teaching profession and obtain their Washington State Residency Teaching Certificate.

Plan 2A:  A non-credit bearing path for those who wish to obtain a CTE certificate and gain clock hours.

Plan 2B: A path for those who wish to obtain a CTE certificate and gain college credit.
