About Business and Marketing Education at EWU
The Business and Marketing Education (BME) Major at EWU provides teachers with practical business and/or marketing experience and knowledge of pedagogy to effectively instruct and share professional expertise in a secondary education classroom.
This program provides a background in accounting, economics, business administration, entrepreneurship, and computer applications as well as professional education coursework and field experience.
The BME major satisfied the endorsement requirements for grades 5-12 in Washington State. In addition to completing major coursework, candidates complete the coursework necessary for obtaining career and technical education (CTE) certification. For CTE certification, BME majors must have 2,000 hours of paid work-related experience within the last six years.
Business and Marketing may be sought as a secondary add-on endorsement.
