Campus Master Plan<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Campus Master Plan will serve as a visionary framework for the University, informed by the pillars established through prior strategic planning efforts. Its purpose is to guide the future development of the campus in a thoughtful and intentional way.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Campus Master Plan Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Campus Master Plan (CMP) aims to preserve the unique character of the campus and promote the EWU brand, while also reflecting and embracing the broader community. Building on recent efforts<\/a> like the EWU Landscape Master Plan<\/a> and the EWU Climate Action Plan<\/a>, the Campus Master Plan will explore opportunities to strengthen existing systems, bolster climate resiliency, promote the polytechnic brand, and encourage innovation throughout academic and operational areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eastern Washington University’s CMP Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Preparation for the Master Plan began in summer 2025 with the Facility Condition Assessment<\/a>, followed by the Campus Suitability Assessment<\/a> in fall 2025. The formal Master Plan process kicked off in December, starting with visioning meetings with the ELT and CMP Steering Committee<\/a>. These meetings resulted in the following Guiding Principles for the Master Plan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
