Peterson<br \/>\nSpokane Community Gardens connects the local community with gardens, resources and creating a local food community here in the Inland Northwest. They support School, Youth Program, Community, and Service Gardens all around the community. Therefore, outside garden activities should enhance and tie into classroom curriculum whenever possible. The strongest garden curriculum tie-in to classroom learning are science, ecology, nutrition, math, language arts, and art. Spokane Community Gardens connects gardens and communities through communication, acquiring and sharing resources, education and advocacy to support gardeners in the Inland Northwest Region. They serve over 60 community, school and service gardens around Spokane. Events include Garden Fair &amp; Plant Sale, weekly plantings and tending, gardening classes and many more depending on the location. School gardens can range from preschool to college or trade school campuses. Youth programs incorporates gardens and gardening during the academic year, summer, or serve young adults.
