From all of us at the EWU Career Center, we hope that this update finds you healthy, safe, and enjoying summer despite all the craziness!
Our team has also been working diligently over the last several months to plan for Fall Quarter and how best to provide a meaningful recruitment experience for all. This work has included countless virtual fair demos, gathering employer feedback, and far too many virtual planning sessions with partners around campus.
The Plan for Fall STEM Recruitment
Instead of offering and charging for a virtual fair – where we cannot guarantee student participation, preparedness or even a meaningful experience – we decided a more decentralized approach is the best course of action. This means we plan to coordinate with you directly to offer more personalized, custom activities that meet your specific goals as well as support more meaningful interaction with students and faculty. Activities can include everything from classroom presentations, to virtual office tours, to professional development workshops.
The Schedule
To best fit our academic schedule, we strongly encourage these activities take place between October 12th and November 6th. We will also be available to assist with interview activities and recommend that those take place between October 26th and November 13th.
Of course, we plan to support all of our employer partners as best as possible, but certain activities have limitations (e.g. classroom and club presentations) and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
