Think About It is an online education program that helps prepare students for the unique challenges and responsibilities of college life. It addresses issues related to alcohol, drugs and sexual assault prevention, and provides important information regarding EWU policies, as well as the on- and off-campus resources that are available to our students.
It is a requirement for all new students to complete, including first year, transfer, and graduate students. Students will receive an email from Campus Clarity with a unique link that will allow them to access Think About It through our single sign on system. In addition, the program can be accessed by going to www.campusclarity.com and registering with your EWU student email address.

Am I required to take this course?
Yes, this course is required for all new students. The federal Violence Against Women Act requires college and universities to implement prevention and awareness programs that will educate students about rape, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. All new students, as well as student athletes, and fraternity and sorority members, are being asked to complete this course. The course communicates our EWU values and expectations, as well as our policies, procedures and resources.
What does this course cover? This course covers high risk drinking, consent, sexual assault prevention and respectful relationships. The program gives students direct access to policies, procedures and resources.
I am a graduate student. Do I need to take this course? Yes, all new students, undergraduate and graduate, are required to take the course. Graduate students complete a course that is specifically tailored to their unique life issues and takes approximately one hour to complete.
What happens if I do not take this course? The names of students who do not complete the course will be passed on to Student Rights and Responsibilities/Dean of Students for consideration and follow-up.
I am really opposed to the way the information is presented in this course. Do I really have to take it?If you are a victim of sexual violence or you have other concerns with taking this course, please email Director of Health, Wellness and Prevention Services Tricia Hughes (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your name, student ID, contact information, and brief summary of your request to be considered for an exception. We will contact you directly to respond to your request.
How long does the course take to complete? The course takes between 2 to 2.5 hours. You may stop your session and return to it at any time.
Do I get credit or a grade for completing? No, this is not a for credit class. You will receive a certificate of completion when you are finished with the course.
Do I need any prior knowledge before taking this course? No, the Think About It program is intended to provide all new students with the same level of basic information on the covered topics, as well as information on EWU’s policies, procedures and resources.
