Diversity and Inclusion Institute

The Institute for Diversity Education is a four day, 30-hour curriculum session that uses intercultural communication techniques to promote cross-cultural learning and build diversity education and facilitation skills. This is designed to promote cross-cultural understanding and inclusiveness while addressing the needs of campus, local and regional professionals who are interested in and committed to advancing mutual understanding and cultural competence. EWU to Host the 2019 Pacific & Western Disability Studies Symposium

Eastern Washington University’s Disability Studies program is hosting a two-day symposium to inform participants about disability-studies principles and to provide students, faculty, staff and the Spokane community with a better understanding of disability-rights practices. EWU Theatre Students Head to Washington D.C.

The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival is a competition held each year to showcase the work of talented student performers in each region. Out of the thousands of student artists who perform in this competition, 125 are selected to continue on to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. where they will compete in the National Festival.
