Mental Health and Wellbeing Assessment

In an effort to expand our ability to meet students’ needs, all Division of Student Affairs offices collectively worked on expanding their capacity around mental health. For the 2019-20 academic year, each department developed a SLO or PO around mental health or student wellbeing. Most of these outcomes relate to building capacity of professional staff and student staff through increased training. The capacity building included:

  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training
  • Responding to Distressed Students Training
  • Various other mental health training
  • Creation and dissemination of materials to students
  • Delivery of training

Highlights from these initiatives and mental health/wellbeing services to students are illustrated in the infographic below.
