EWU Institutional Accreditation Reports Submitted to The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)

In order to maintain institutional accreditation through its regional accrediting body, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), EWU must engage in a self-study process every seven years and host a site visit by an accreditation team. The accreditation process is an opportunity for the university community to reflect upon its strengths and weaknesses and its history and future.

As part of the seven-year accreditation cycle, NWCCU also requires institutions to provide a year-one report in the year following reaffirmation of accreditation and a mid-cycle report two years later. It is not unusual for NWCCU to ask for periodic ad hoc reports as well.

EWU is committed to transparency among the university community and with the public at large about its self-assessment and the evaluation of the institution by its peers and accrediting body. EWU’s reports and NWCCU's responses to them are available through the links in the tabs below.
