The WISE Club (Women in Science-EWU) is co-sponsoring a two day women in STEM symposium called WE-STEM on March 6 and 7.

Additional Information:

This event is open to EWU students, faculty and staff; local high school students; and the local scientific community.

The goals of the event are:

  • Create a network of women and female students within the local scientific community
  • Help facilitate mentorships between high school and EWU students
  • Provide an avenue for discussions about gender specific issues women in STEM face
  • Provide a medium to present current research that is conducted by EWU faculty and students in STEM fields

There will be opportunities to present research during oral and poster sessions. In addition to the research presentation sessions, there will be several panel discussions that highlight the unique intersection of gender and the STEM fields. There will also be an opportunity for departments, programs or student clubs to table and/or lead a breakout activity.

Registration opens for EWU students on Jan. 17 and for EWU faculty/staff on Feb. 1:
