Julia Furlong, M.S., RPA
Julia Furlong has nine years’ archaeological research experience and six years’ experience in cultural resources management. Ms. Furlong serves as a Project Archaeologist and GIS analyst at AHS, having recently transitioned AHS to a completely GIS/electronic based method of field recording. She has supervised archaeological survey and test excavations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Ohio, and Louisiana, she regularly prepares technical reports of findings, and she presents at regional and national conferences yearly. Ms. Furlong also serves as a Director at Large on the Board of Directors for the Association of Washington Archaeology. She has taught part time in EWU’s Department of Geography and Anthropology. Ms. Furlong maintains active RPA and exceeds the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Professional Archaeologists.
