English Proficiency

EWU students must complete English Proficiency for general education requirements. In order to satisfy English Proficiency, students must pass ENGL 201 with a C or better. The prerequisite for ENGL 201 is one of the following courses: 1) English 101, or 2) English 113 AND English 114 (both must be taken concurrently).

If students need English 113 and 114, students must enroll into the corresponding sections. For example, if the student enrolls into ENGL 113 section P01, then they must enroll in ENGL 114 section P01.
