The Multicultural Center partnered with the Office of Community and Engagement for the Days of Kindness and helped make clothes into toys for dogs.

 

Unity Rally

The MCC held an education session with CAPS (Counseling and Phycological Services) to discuss the events thats previously occurred on EWU’s progressing campus.  Plenty of students at the campus mall were impacted by the rally as it had a great message to be strong against

Movie Night: Coco

The Multicultural Center presented the movie COCO at EWU for students to come watch and learn more about the meaning of the movie.

 

What it’s Like to be “Me”

 

 

 

 

 

This event was an opportunity for students to share their personal narratives or come and learn about other perspectives and experiences.  Learning about other people’s experiences really opened up the minds of students.

 

Potluck

The MCC hosted a potluck where students brought in all kinds of foods from different types of cultures for others to try!  This brought students together as they shared their food from around the world.

 

Story Slam (Annual)

The very first year of our annual story slam where students expressed their own unique stories and spoke on their identity’s in a competitive yet very entertaining manner.  Every year is a new theme with comical and/or touching stories.

 

Movie Night: A Wrinkle in Time

MCC presented A Wrinkle in Time in their center for those to take a break from school work and socialize, eat popcorn and relax.

 

Welcome Back Social

The MCC welcomed students back for the 2018-2019 school year.  Students played games and participated in multiple activities in the Center.

 

Multicultural Festival

Students gathered in the campus mall to experience the life, food, and music of different cultures.  It is the Multicultural Center’s most popular event!  It will be annual and take place during the Fall quarter of the school year.

 

Lady Quesa

Students/Staff of EWU got to experience a drag show presented by Lady Quesa!

 

Carne Asada Cookout

The MCC hosted a tailgate for the Homecoming Football game against Idaho.  Carne Asada and plenty of other delicious meals were served to the EWU tailgaters!

 

Candlelight Vigil

Staff of the MCC held a candlelight vigil in the campus’ school house and had a moment of silences for those who lost their lives in Puerto Rico.
